Okay, yes I know shut up. I said I’d be uploading and I am tragically behind and late. Here’s literally the first two days of our trip, spent in Auckland, NZ. We’re now on like day 7, and I have like five thousand more photos and I am being lazy, also I took like 500 videos of stuff and I have been trying to learn how to edit videos which is …tragically funny. Anyway. Auckland. Weta Works (special effects company that did some work on Lord of the Rings, Labrynth, and Dark Crystal. There was an awesome huge, model of a fairy tale castle that I did not get a single good photo of, despite taking 100. Maybe the video will turn out better….
This was this random tree in the middle of the city that has taken over the footpaths, and they’ve just allowed it. One thing I am loving about New Zealand (among many) is that the cities aren’t gross or sterile. They feel like places you could enjoy living, instead of just existing.
For whatever reason, we boarded our cruise ship, then sat in the harbor for a day, so we spent Day 2 in Auckland, at the Zoo, where the Hubs achieved his lifelong dream of finally seeing a red panda. In addition we got to watch a giant tiger, pissing and moaning and grumbling because he’d been blocked from his girlfriend, on a walkway right above our heads. I have video of that too, it’s adorable, eventually I might figure out how to edit, embed and upload it. Don’t hold your breath though.
